Why WEE Give: TAPS Good Grief Camps

“we are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free.”
President Ronald Reagan, Memorial Day, May 26, 1983

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. TAPS receives no government funding.

TAPS Good Grief Camps, held throughout the country, pair young survivors with active duty military mentors who companion children during camp and assist after camp to help with their grief journey. At Good Grief Camps children are able to bond with their mentor and other young survivors in a safe and healing environment to share stories, learn from one another, and gain valuable coping skills from grief, and trauma experts. The survivors learn how our nation honors those who have served and sacrificed so much.

WEE the PEOPLE is committed to help send the children of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to camp by donating 5% of our net profits to TAPS Good Grief Camps.
